"I roll out of bed grab my phone and unplug it from the charging cord. Still sleepy, I make my way to the bathroom and before I even turn on the light, I start reading my email. I wonder how my day is going to be?
Is anyone going to be away? Does anyone need an answer before school starts?" Does this scenario sound familiar? Email is a communications tool that, though now older, is still used heavily today's schools. This presentation highlights research that began with an explratory study in 2015 and a fully developed study in  2016-17. One aspect of the study focused on the lived experiences of administrators as they received email outside regular school hours. As a ubiquitous tool that provides many benefits, it is also imperative to consider its thoughtful use.  Research specific to school administrators' experiences of email will be shared and participants will have an opportunity to discuss this important issue together.
