Incorporating excerpts from their book, Pushing the Limits: How Schools Can Prepare Our Children Today for the Challenges of Tomorrow, the authors will share stories of schools and educators across Canada that are pushing the limits of what’s possible to prepare our children today for the challenges of tomorrow.

Learn about:
i.  An inner-city elementary school in Toronto where students used mathematics to examine and change the culture of the playground;
ii.  One teacher in Regina who adapted creativity practices from Google to inspire his students to uncover their own genius;
iii.  How teachers and school systems in B.C. are helping students regulate their emotions and become more successful in school;
iv.  Schools in Toronto working in partnerships with scientists to create new technologies to allow students to communicate in ways that were previously impossible;
v.  Cutting-edge ways that families and community agencies are working with schools to make students more successful in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Leave with ideas to take back to your own context, whether you are a parent or an educator, and specific strategies for helping schools push the limits of what is possible and maintain high expectations for all children.
